90% State Compensation for Medical Wigs

If you need a wig due to medical hair loss, you may qualify for state compensation covering up to 90% of the cost of a hair prosthesis.

This applies to individuals with:

• alopecia areata (extensive hair loss)
• complete alopecia
• hair loss caused by scalp scarring

(This support does not apply to hair thinning or androgenetic alopecia.)

To apply:

Contact a dermatologist and request a medical certificate confirming alopecia or complete hair loss.
Once you receive the certificate, visit our Tallinn salon for consultation and wig fitting.

A family doctor may also issue a repeat certificate.
